While it was cooler during the night hours, Rose had to agree with Iceland's thinking. The heat definitely wasn't much less than in the day. Still, the lack of sun made it a lot nicer to walk around despite the heat. At night, there was no worry of sunburn or whatnot which explained her change of clothes. The blond was still wearing her short shorts but had swapped out her baggy cotton shirt for a green tanktop borrowed from Eli. Hopefully, the female country wouldn't mind.

When they arrived at the Baroque'n Violin, Rose had to smile. It'd been... a long time since she'd come here. The woman remembered liking it despite being interrogated about the Harmony at the time. After a glance around, Rose did sit down with Iceland with that small smile still on her face.

"Do you come here a lot?" she asked, merely being curious.

The lack of sun was nice. It's not like Iceland had something against it, because he enjoyed a sunny day every now and then, but as you may already know, it makes the heat even more unbearable. He wondered how much longer does he had to stand it, and hope that the heat would diminish as summer wanes.

He'd put on a loose button-up shirt, because as much as he despises wearing a shirt during times like this, of course he couldn't get out without one. And like Rose, he was wearing shorts as well.

"No, not really. As in 'not everyday'." He answered in a teasing manner.

"Well, not every day, of course," the blond replied with an eye roll. He seemed to be teasing her a lot lately, she's noticed. Rose still can't tell if this is a good or a bad thing but he does seem to be a lot more relaxed around her. So, she'll take it as a good thing.

"So, what's your favorite thing to eat here?" she asked, curious now. When she thought about it, Rose didn't know much about the country yet he knew a lot about her. Well, she knew enough about the actual country of Iceland in her world but not-- Forget it, thinking about it like that was just confusing the poor girl.

That answer earned her a small chuckle from him. It's probably something he inherited from Norway. The closer he'd considered you to be, the more teasing you get. But yes, it's definitely a good thing. That means he was comfortable being around you. And in case you haven't noticed, Rose, he laugh and smile more often in your presence. You got a contender in form of a Shahrazad in case of the latter, though.

"Doesn't really have a favourite." He answered, shrugging. Predictably, none of his food are here in the menu. But that doesn't mean he doesn't like anything here, no, it's just that he didn't really consider anything to be his favourite. Maybe except for coffee, but it doesn't count, right?

No one knows a lot about Iceland, unless you're Norway, so don't confuse yourself with that thought, Rose. But feel free to play 20 questions with him.

if this is too far backdating, don't worry. Just thought I'd tag anyway! rosey_maiden August 10 2010, 01:37:06 UTC
Him chuckling made her smile. It seemed like something he didn't do enough, really, and she thought she should. Iceland looked so much nicer when he was smiling or laughing. Even so, Rose could understand that wasn't his personality so she wouldn't dare push it... It was just enjoyable to see.

"You don't- Now, that's just silly!" An idea came to her then and she voiced it right away. "Well, how about we find you a favorite then? We can keep coming back here every once in a while until you find something that can be your favorite. What do you say?"

No, it's okay. I understand that you were on hiatus <3 crymogaea August 10 2010, 09:06:59 UTC
It's probably because he rarely does it that makes it enjoyable. It certainly would be different if he did it everyday like Rose, but maybe she wouldn't mind, would she? The concept of smiling when you're happy or laughing when something funny comes up wasn't an alien concept to him, but like every other emotions in the box, he finds it to be weird and awkward. It probably has something to do with his upbringing, but then again, he's not really an expressive person on the core.

"Only if it'll find you a favourite, too."

She seemed like the type of person who loves to make other people happy, so he thought that he's going to make her happy in return, too.

short tag is sort, sorry. ;; rosey_maiden August 10 2010, 17:45:56 UTC
Well, maybe Rose could change that just a little. Her happiness seemed to be infectious, after all.

His proposition of her finding a favorite seemed to catch her off guard. She thought about it for a good few seconds. Well, she did like going out like this. Since Peter left and with George being blind, a distraction every once in a while might be nice. Rose gave a nod of her head and gave yet another cute smile.

"It's a deal, then."

don't be sorry, short tags happen! and they're just as awesome as long ones <3 crymogaea August 10 2010, 17:52:50 UTC
Shahrazad's kindness was infectious enough but Rose's happiness...was like a plague. It's a wonder Iceland hadn't start smiling randomly now. It's probably because of him being a not expressive person on the core, like I said before.

"Deal?" He extended a hand in a mocking manner. Not in the bad way, but more like..."this is a pretend agreement". Just for fun. And he returned her smile, too, this time with a proper one.

okay, if you say so. ;; <3 rosey_maiden August 13 2010, 04:00:53 UTC
A plague was a good description. It seemed like no matter what, whether people wanted it to or not, Rose's bubbliness infected others. She was just like that naturally, it seemed. It wasn't always a good thing, really, but it could be. Right now was a grand example of when it was a good thing though.

When he held out his hand, Rose had to chuckle slightly. She took it in her own and shook it gently.

"It's a deal, then."

Iceland gave her a small smile and let her shook his hand gently before letting her hand go. Then he called the waitress and asked for the menu ---even though he practically know it like the back of his glaciers. Okay, maybe not really, but the point still stands.

"Where should we start?"

He handed the other menu to her (there are two of them, he asked for two on purpose) and opened his.
