Rose told Peter to stay behind and keep out of trouble, so he's hiding. In the hotel. He's switching rooms every time the people looking for him pass by, trying to stay ahead of his persuers. But even he knows it's only a matter of time. Now he's in a closet in someone's room. He didn't know who. Didn't care, actually.
Having followed his captain's orders diligently, Chekov managed to stay under the radar for quite a while. He seemed to jinx his good luck though for just as he thought he might actually manage to hide this all out, a couple of Choir members caught him sneaking into an alleyway. Their shouts caused the boy to go into action. Immediately, he pulled out his phaser and set it to stun. He would only use it if necessary but for the time being he simply ran

"It only makes sense that those skills are only have a fraction of their potential here compared to your skills."
He paused, considering his options before he spoke again. "Why do you fear us?"
As much as he'd tried to avoid it, ducked into alleyways and evaded people at every turn, a confrontation became unavoidable. He was cornered, forced to fight or give in, and while he hadn't wanted to do either one, he was left with few options. His Innocence had helped for a while, but he knew what kind of effects it could have on humans. Using it in a fight against them was out of the question
