It was strange, but not unwelcome, really. Two days off in a row, and he started to wonder if maybe she was sick- one day off was rare enough, but two was entirely unheard of. But he sure as hell wasn't going to complain and risk her cancelling all of the day off plans. He still wasn't exactly thrilled with the prospect of being out in the snow, but it wasn't so terrible walking around with her.

He couldn't resist a wicked grin when she pointed Jim out, though, and he dropped down to gather a handful of snow and shape it into an effective projectile and launched it without so much as a word.

Cold, wet snow hit the side of his face and he jumped and sputtered loudly. "What the hell?!"

Whoever had thrown that at him had no idea what they were getting into. He turned and looked around and saw Tony and Olivia. Oh, that just figured. With a glower, he quickly scooped up his own snowballs and aimed one at each of them. He could take them. Easy.

Olivia dodged the cold projectile, though it was a little close for her tastes, and headed for the closest snowdrift, grabbing her own handful of snow, but not launching it quite yet. She would see how this played out for the time being and be on the defensive, crouching behind her pile of snow and hiding a grin.

Oh he'd seen the response coming, but that didn't make him fast enough. He managed to avoid getting nailed in the face, though the cold, wet mass nailed his shoulder fairly hard and he dropped behind the first thing available- which happenened to be another snowdrift, and tried hard not to laugh as he absently worked on creating another missle.

Jim ducked behind his own bush and snow drift fort and began assembling a few projectiles. And then promptly started launching them at the other two, all the while yelling at them. "If this is your idea of a date, you two are seriously screwed up!"

Olivia decided it was time to check up on the situation just as Jim started throwing snowballs at them. It was only on pure reflex that she dodged the first one, though the movement made her fall sideways, into the large pile of snow she was hiding behind. After some minor effort she extracted herself, only catching the very end of what he had said. So she decided it was time to launch her own attack.

"Sorry, I didn't catch that!" she shouted back as she threw her snowball at him.

Thankfully the projectiles hit his makeshift fort instead of him this time, and he peeked over the top of it, taking advantage of the opportunity presented by Olivia trying to figure out what he'd said to launch his own attack.

He ducks behind his shelter again and pitches his voice louder this time. "I said you guys are screwed up if this is your idea of a date!"

Olivia gave a small laugh as she crouched to make antoher few snowballs. "I'll add that to crazy, then!" Instaed of throwing them, she just added to the pile, letting Tony have his shot at Jim if he wanted it.

Oh. He wants. So he grabs a couple and chucks them in the appropriate direction, still with that entirely childish grin on his face. "You're just jealous!" he shot back at Jim as he tossed a third snowball before he decided that he'd probably better duck.

"Why would I be jealous?" Another snowball is tossed and then he pauses. "No offense, Olivia! You're not really my type!"

"None taken!" she shouted back. Olivia chose not to fire again this round, waiting for the right moment. That was more her speed, especially with multiple people involved.

He couldn't really come up with any reason why they were having a conversation in the middle of throwing things at each other, so he made up for it by throwing several more snowballs in a general right way direction.

None of them hit Jim, though they did hit his fortress of solitude. And then he aimed some at Olivia, just for good measure. She was likely conspiring wherever she was, and he wasn't going to be caught unawares.

Olivia was, in fact, conspiring. Every so often she would stick her head over her fort, working on creating a mental map of the safe locations. When Jim began firing at her, she decided it was time to make her move. As soon as the projectiles stopped, Olivia made a dash for a pile of snow slightly closer to him, throwing a few back at him to cover her move. She did a dive roll for the last bit, rolling into a crouch behind her new cover.

Now that was impressive. He had his doubts about being able to pull off a maneuver like that, so he decided to stay where he was and be the distraction, tossing snowballs and hoping Jim hadn't noticed her ducking into the new fort she'd moved up to.
