[WHERE] The field outside Elegy
[ABOUT] Jim confronts his father. Spock is there for moral support. Mental breakdowns ensue.
[WARNINGS] Likely swearing and possible mentions of a... rough childhood, to say the least. >_>

Jim sat on the grass and rested his head in his hands. He wasn't looking forward to this. At all. But he knew he had to do it, and Spock was right. It would probably be easier if he just got it over and done with instead of letting himself mull and think over it and get distracted from what was really important. Not that family wasn't important. Could he even call his father family? Blood relative, for sure, but he never knew him. Family implied some sort of bond there, and there was none.

He heaved a sigh, rubbing absentmindedly at his temples. Apprehension and worry sat heavily in his gut. Jim knew he was likely going to end up saying something he didn't want to remember. Frank, the car, Mom, jail... it was the past and he wanted to just leave the past in the past. There was too much messiness there for him to want to spend any time on it. And he certainly didn't want to lose any of Spock's respect when he inevitable ended up blurting out his secrets. But he had to do this and if Spock wasn't there, he wasn't sure if he would end up doing it.

So he waited.
