[After having seen the video feed, and getting back, Botan's staying quiet for a little before saying anything.]

It's really been doing well lately.

[Now that he can actually sense youki and reiki again (the last two weeks had been unsettling), he knows Botan is there. He'll keep inspecting, and if Botan looks close, she'll see the plants perk up under his touch.

When she does speak, he straightens and turns to her with a conversational smile.]

Only the last day or so, really. Most of them were too far gone after the flood to revive without a little help. [He's sure no one is around--he can't sense anyone--but he's still a little cautious about his powers.]

Of course. Especially with the things that have been happening lately.

[Goes over to crouch down for a closer look. She's cleaned up a little after having left for about a week, but hasn't changed quite yet. Which is why she's digging through one of the trouser pockets.]

I'm not sure if you've kept these on you from the point you were taken, or gathered them before the final match, but I found some of these while gone. I grabbed a little before having left.

[Finally gets out something lightly wrapped in a damp cloth. Unwrapping it shows an unearthed batch of these, though Botan still seems unsure as to whether or not they're the right stuff.]

It looked similar in the basics, and you mentioned some of the features during the final match. So while I'm not sure if it's close enough to use for the same purpose, with the warning that Sango gave I figured it was worth a shot.

Mimosa? [Kurama looks surprised at the plant, and he glances back to Botan. He almost asks her how she knows about the particular Makai plant this plant resembles, but remembers she came from a time later in their world than he.]

Thank you. It will be interesting to see what it's capable of.

I don't know if the specific kind mattered, but it is something to check out. If you, as Youko, hadn't been so clear with some of the information when using some kind of mimosa on Karasu, I probably would have passed over it.

[He considered what would make him use such a plant on the enemy. Then again, he was sure they were fighting Team Toguro in the finals, and Toguro would have no weakling on his team.]

[Starts getting up again, pushing off from her knees.]

I know it's not a problem anymore, but I'm working on recreating some talismans and wards that Genkai had around her temple. Do you want a set of any for around here?

Then I'll have a set for the perimeter on the counter, when I finish making them. They might get replaced before long, though...

[Because Botan's been making some of the strangest friends.]

Oh? [Kurama has kept largely to himself except for a few acquaintances (both out of interest and out of necessity). He's kept close eye on the network, unsurprisingly, logging things to memory. As such, there are a few people he can think that might be able to make such talismans, and he's curious as to which one it is.]

I appreciate your help. Botan, have you found somewhere permanent to stay? I apologize for not making myself more available for you.

The ones from Genkai's temple are suitable for our kind of world, and the demons there. I'm working with Rei, Castiel and a few others to merge and adapt what we know for something more... universal, so to speak.

[Ah, permanent place to stay. That was hard to know for sure, after being gone when she had.]

Don't be silly! You've helped me so much in the beginning, after all. I'll know for sure when I've spent the night in the place I've left my things.

I see. [He's not spoken with either Castiel or Rei, but he's seen them on the network. An interesting choice. But it will be wise to have more 'universal' wards, as Botan has said.]

[It's awkward for someone trying to keep it secret that Genkai had been killed. She's not good at keeping secrets for very long.]

I'll let you know if it doesn't work out. Oh! There were some other plants, that I don't know if you have samples of...

[Takes out PCD to recover the coordinates, sending it over.]

[Kurama isn't even aware he's met Genkai yet, so the news wouldn't trouble him as much as it might otherwise.]

Aa, thank you. [Kurama looks at the coordinates on his device.] I don't think I've explored this area yet. It will be quite helpful.
