The story’s protagonist, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), is a former Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. Jake is selected to participate in the Avatar program, which will enable him to walk. Jake travels to Pandora, a lush jungle-covered extraterrestrial moon filled with incredible life forms, some beautiful, many terrifying. Pandora is also home to the Na’vi, a sentient humanoid race that humans consider primitive, yet are more physically capable than humans. Standing three meters tall (approximately 10ft), with tails and sparkling blue skin, the Na’vi live in harmony with their unspoiled world. As humans encroach deeper into Pandora's forests in search of valuable minerals, the Na’vi unleash their formidable warrior abilities to defend their threatened existence ( ... )

It sure looks interesting and “high”. Still, there are movies that the best scenes are in trailer…and stay that way lol :(
So we have to wait and see, but so far… can’t wait actually.

Alien franchise, Terminator franchise and the Abyss. I firmly believe in terms of editing the first Alien was a tours de force for suspense. I was firmly attached to the other half because of the unseen and the tension. I also had no blood in my left hand he squeezed so hard so it got to him too lol!

LOL immediately after I saw the word Avatar I'm thinking "Last Airbender" but then when I pressed it and saw the blue person I was there is no way that's Airbender. LOL. The director's name doesn't really ring any bells but I'll google him and see if I seen anything by him.

Watched the trailer it seems interesting. Read the summary you gave to someone waaaaaay up at the top of the comments and it sounds very interesting. Doubt I'll get to the movies or anything but I can put it on my "to buy" list. Blockbuster be having those 4 movies for $20 sales. So whenever that movie do hit dvd's I'm sure I'll find it somewhere along the line. I just have to remember.
