Otana is back! Well, kind of.
The laptop is working again, but I'm still fussing with a replacement monitor, so bear with me. I've also been completely without a computer except for a few minutes here and there to check e-mail, so I'm totally out of the loop.
That said, I'm up and about and available, and oh god I missed you all. ♥
EDIT: I may have spoken too soon. The laptop is shutting itself down periodically, so I'm still troubleshooting. Urghhhhhhhhhhh.
EDIT II, SON OF EDIT: Seems like an overheating problem, which I have rectified with a cheap cooling pad and an external fan. o/
