Mimmi is also totally holed up in this room. She isn't touching that Erol fight with a twenty-five and a half foot pole. She wanted to help out, so here she is.

Yay babysitting?

Kairi is one of the last to arrive. She waves half-heartedly at familiar faces as she glances around the room. But she can't manage a smile. She's safe. They're safe.

And Jinx is going to die.

[[ooc: Hope you don't mind, Ironhide-mun and Mimmi-mun and... Yeah everyone. I'm just assuming she got here safely. Work days make tagging sporadic. But yay for catching up!]]

Poor Kairi. She doesn't look so hot. Mimmi returns the wave and walks on over.

"I am glad to see you safe."

((ooc: no problem, bb! ♥))

"I-... You too. But why're you here?"

She didn't mean for it to sound rude. Hiding away because a crazy guy was after you was not her idea of fun. But she was safest her. She was least likely to put others in danger here.

"He-, he didn't go after you too, did he?"

[missmimmi]

"Nein, he did not. I am here to, ah, make sure you and Xanth stay safe."

And to make sure you don't all die from panic attacks.

"Oh. Okay."

Kairi really wants to sit, but the chairs and bed are occupied. So instead she walks past Mimmi, further into the room. Ordinarily she'd pause to look at all the stuff here, to wonder what it was there for. But her curiosity, like almost everything else at the moment, has been thickly blanketed by worry.

But truth be told, she would rather be with friends than anywhere else right now. So she meets Mimmi's gaze as she pulls up a stretch of floor.

"Thankyou. I'm... I'm glad you're here. I don't like being left behind like this, but there's no way I can help."

But at least she's not alone.

Mimmi goes ahead and takes a seat on the floor next to Kairi. She gives a small smile and a shrug.

"I understand that being left behind can be horrible, but it is for the best. But I believe things will settle down and be all right in the end, even if they are bad at the moment."

She's had a lot of practice with the whole sit and wait thing.

"I hope you're right. I just don't see how."

She's listened to the feeds that - to her knowledge - started all this. Erol threatened her for no reason. If he is just allowed to do that, how will it settle down? What's to stop him doing it again?

Kairi bites her lip, glances at Xanth and then stares at her shoes. She can wait this out. She's waited out worse things before. She won't let it upset her.

"I don't like being afraid." She says to her feet.

[missmimmi]

"Ah, no one does, I suppose. But it is all right to be afraid. It is understandable."

Mimmi is doing everything in her power not to freak out over Gideon. She knows he's in danger now that he's gone to fight Erol, and it really isn't helping the knot in her stomach. But things will resolve themselves.

"Perhaps you should try to distract yourself."

"Maybe..."

She seems to think about it for a moment, before reaching into her pocket and pulling out a crumpled piece of paper and a pen. It's no good though. The words won't come.

It doesn't take long for Kairi to get impatient with it. She's afraid and she can't do anything about it. She can't even focus on her letter. She crumples the paper again and puts it away.

"It's no good."

And with that, she gets up and heads over to where Xanth is talking into his communicator.
