The metal cage was strong, sturdy and reasonably spacious. It wasn't as if Batou needed a lot of room to stretch his legs, so he was fine with the idea of letting Erol's confinement take up a full third of his cabin. Batou didn't need a bed and he certainly didn't need the bathroom, either. When he wanted to shower, he figured he could use River or Celeste's bathrooms.
Slowly, the cyborg turned a page of the book he was reading: Tales From the Don by Michail Sholokhov in its native, untranslated Russian.
