Feeding had been the answer to every frustration Eric experienced since his arrival on this Elegante cruise. He had not gone long without blood beforehand, feeding every few days as the search for his maker stretched onwards. It had been to keep his strength up, so that he could rend apart the humans who sought to take one of their eldest and most powerful away. He could have went another three or four days without sustenance, but he had not.
To drain the human he now carried had been unnecessary in terms of survival, yet the atmosphere of the boat necessitated it for wholly different means. They required tutelage about the nature of vampires and she represented an excellent opportunity. As a sheriff of his own area, Eric acted in the manner he dispensed such issues in Shreveport.
Godric, however, disagreed with the methodology.
No unreleased vampire could disobey the stated will of their maker. One thousand years has only deepened that bond between them and Eric has long passed the point where thinking arguing it would deal either of them benefit.
'You will retrieve her, and bring her to me.'
Eric complied with the order, Vie's blood still staining his jaw and down his front as he carried her. Her form weighed little to him, though already she seemed improved enough that she might wake and walk far sooner than any human ought -- without the benefit of drinking a vampire's blood in return. He put that detail aside, to be considered after he had finished what Godric ordered of him.
That would take little time. Already he stopped before the door of room 1212 on the like-numbered deck. His maker's current nest.
There, he waited. Godric would know of his arrival and the vehemence of his tone earlier rang warning of his ire. Entering without strict adherence and deference to their positions would further complicate it.
Eric did not allow any particular emotion to surface in his expression, much of him suppressed following the terse order. He had displeased his maker, a great fault to make. But he also stood ready to accept the consequences Godric doled out, no matter their nature.
