Gippal was bored! As big as this ship was, there just wasn't anything the Al Bhed was interested in doing. At least back in Spira, he had places to go, lives to save, spare parts to dig up, people's personal space to invade. But here? Here he just lazed about and did nothing all day and that was okay. But after a while, it just got old.
Oh well. At least he had something to do at the moment. He was hungry and on the prowl for food. He knew there had to be more to eat than Sergei's. Not that he didn't like Sergei's. Just was in the mood for something different.
So when he found the Rotisserie, he decided to check it out. He strolled into the buffet and began piling random bits of food on his plate, most of which he had never even seen before. It was when he turned to leave that he caught sight of the woman sitting far away from everything and everybody else. Something told him to turn tail and leave, that this was a bad idea. But eh, what does that little voice know? Besides, it would never do for the little - big - lady to sit alone.
Mar above, he got a lot more attention like this than he had in his proper body. It was infuriating. Still...at least this was Gippal instead of someone he didn't particularly recognize, or someone that hadn't even seen him before.
He fixed the young man with a smirk, leaning back in his seat and twirling his fork.
"While I thank you for the concern, Gippal, I am most certainly not 'lonely.'"
"Well of course not, I'm here. Mind if I sit?" He shifted his weight from one foot to the other. It did bother him a bit that this woman knew his name. And had said it in the same accent as Razer. This couldn't be Razer, though, right? I mean, the last time Gippal saw him, Razer was definitely a him. And he was no doctor, but he was pretty sure men just don't randomly become women.
Gippal apparently forgot that he was on the Hellboat, because things here were considerably different from the logic his train of thought adhered to.
Razer sighed and gestured with one hand. The movement looked completely at home in his current shape, the effeminacy of his usual gesticulations simply feminine when performed by a female subject.
Well, he can't say that weird things didn't happen on the boat. But this was by far the weirdest. Sure some unexplainable force made Gippal nuzzle Razer. But nobody was running around swapping genders either. But he ignores the bad feeling he's getting.
"We've been introduced. More than once." He chuckled lightly and quirked an eyebrow. "If I'm not mistaken, the last time you and I met in person you found me rather intoxicating. I should hope you remember my name."
He went back to his food, but kept his eyes on Gippal. Waiting for comprehension to dawn.
It didn't take long. As a matter of fact, Gippal stopped mid-bite and looked at Razer. Despite being softer, curvier, feminine, that was definitely him. Oh hey, who dropped that ten pound bag of awkward in the room? Gippal set his fork down and shifted in his seat. "Oh hey. How's it goin'?"
"Distinctly uncomfortable," Razer laughed. "But it's getting better." He took another bite, chewed and swallowed with obvious relish. Whether it was in the actual food or in Gippal's awkward displeasure in the situation was unclear.
"And you? If you don't mind my saying, you don't look particularly well."
"So I take it you don't normally go as a woman. Good to know." He nodded and pushed his food around on his plate. That little voice was scolding him now. Yeah, yeah. Hindsight was 20/20 and all that jazz. Right now, Gippal was focused on trying to get out of here as quickly as possible. This wouldn't be half as bad if Razer hadn't done such a bang up job at creeping him right the hell out.
"Oh no, I'm fine." He didn't even bother to force a smile. If he did, Razer would've seen straight through it.
"You certainly look fine." His expression was even, but the sarcasm was evident. He took another sip from his glass. "It's punishment from Redd, so you can ease your pretty little head. I'm not going to periodically turn into a woman for the strict purpose of seducing you, I promise."
Razer smirked. "Not that the thought isn't necessarily tempting."
Gippal could hear it and for a moment, his awkwardness was forgotten. He leveled Razer with a look he'd normally give to people. Keep this up, Razer, and Gippal might get a little more comfortable around him. "I mean it, Al Bhed's honor."
Aaand the awkward's back. "Think I'll pass. Thanks for the offer though."
