Don had positioned himself near the door and moved to get it almost before the first knock was complete, make-shift staff tucked safely within reach without being threatening.

He smiled widely (tiredly, sadly, and painfully, but no less genuine) when he greeted the two humans, standing off to one side just enough that, if it had been anyone but who - and what - he was expecting, he could dodge easily.

"Hello."

He held the door open a little wider.

To reveal April O'Neil coming up beside him.

"Are these our delivery boys? Hey!" She grins at them a little more enthusiastically. It's a bit of an act, but one she's happy to play up.

Leonardo glanced up from where he half-leaned, half sat against the desk. Four to a room really was pushing it, so he was attempting to take up as little space as he could. Food definitely wasn't something he was eager to partake in, but knew that at least Don and Mike had to eat to keep up their strength. ...and he wasn't fooling himself, he did too.

He just...had to convince his stomach to stop being such a pain in the ass about it.

Gideon and Herz; he knew them both. He'd met Gideon a couple days after his arrival but hadn't spoken to him since. Herz, he saw just a few days before-

Well. Before. He nodded to them both in greeting.

Mike had been sitting on the couch, knees drawn up, Pandaman clutched to his chest for a few hours now. He'd slept on and off in bursts, but woken up from nightmares every time, and he was exhausted and worried about his brothers.

Shouldn't Raph be back by now?

Looking up as the door opened, he let his legs lower, tilting his head to see around Don. He recognized Herz, but the other guy was totally unknown to him.

Herz didn't recognize the redhead that spoke, so she got a sheepish smile.

"H-Hey."

He looked to each of the turtles in turn, even gave a little wave to Mikey. His heart ached seeing all of them. Poor guys. He was glad he came if it meant they felt a just a tiny bit better.

Gideon is in the same boat as you, Herz. Seeing the three brothers all huddled up like this is really even tough, even if he hadn't talked to them much previously. The one wearing the orange bandana--Michelangelo, right?-- seems to be the youngest, if the stuffed animal is any indication--and understandably looks incredibly shaken up, and it makes the drummer's heart ache anew.

He waves gives a curt, polite nod of acknowledgment to everyone in the room before opening the pizza box to show them its contents.

"Room service? I brought toppings, too, so... mix and match. Go wild."

Donatello moves fast to take a slice from the box with a short, rapid bow of gratitude, and feels momentarily bad that he'd left Gideon to hold it instead of taking it off his hands.

Still. Priorities.

He's across the room with the slice in a heartbeat, offering it out to his little brother. His head is tilted almost pleadingly, and his eyes are watchful.

Mikey's not hungry. Or at least he wasn't, until he was faced with a hot slice of cheese pizza.

Setting Pandaman aside -- but keeping him close -- he reaches out to take the slice, lifting it to his mouth and taking a huge bite. Guess he was hungrier than he thought.

Belatedly, he mumbles around his mouthful. "Anks"

With a smile of gratitude, she takes the box in Donny's absence. "This is really sweet of you guys," April tells the two cooks before turning to deposit the box on the desk. She plans to come back for the twelve pack of sodas and the two bags of hips the green haired kid is carrying, but she's neither got the grace nor speed of her turtle friends. It wouldn't be hard for one of them to reach Herz before her.

Which is just what Leonardo did as she took the box, stepping forward and dropping into a deep bow before relieving Herz of his own burdens. "Thank you for your kindness," he murmured, moving to rest the snacks on the desk next to the pizza box. "You didn't have to do this for us. We really appreciate it."

"It--i-it's really not a problem, guys," Herz says as his fingers found his cheek. He'd stepped back when Leo had taken his offerings from him, and now felt that now may be the time for them to go. Herz didn't want to impose, just do his little kindness and avoid overstaying his welcome...

...even if he wanted to give all of the turtles a huge bear-hug. Especially Mikey.

He'd remember that they liked pizza, though. Definitely.

"Yeah, what he said," Gideon nodded. "Gotta look out for each other on the boat, and all that. I'm just happy to be able to help out, even if it is in a little way."

He smiles at Mikey's enthusiasm. Fuck, they remind him of his bandmates so much. Of course he wanted to help them.

"So, uh... anything else you guys want us to grab for you, our should we get on our way?" he asked, starting to feel the same as Herz.

Don hesitates. He was hovering over Mikey right now, but he looks over to Herz and Gideon with an almost sheepish smile.

"...You both could stay and eat too, if you like?"

Politeness. And also Don liked the both of them and company aside from the grieving was probably good for them. Maybe.

That pizza was good, and Mikey licked the grease off his fingers. Eating was a momentary distraction from everything that had happened, and he tucked Pandaman back under his arm again.

"Maybe ... they could stay." Distraction was really, really needed right now.

"Would you guys?" April asked, excited over the company and its potential effect on the brothers. She looks to Leo, the last to weigh in. She's hoping he agrees.

Even if he didn't, it was clear he was outnumbered and outvoted. So Leonardo just nodded blankly, though he does take a drink for himself and head through the door. "I'll be just outside," he said quietly, slipping past Gideon and Herz with a murmured apology and moving down the hallway a ways to sit with his shell to the wall, sighing.
