Wringing her hands nervously, she steps out into the sheer opulence, the kinds of drapery and detailed textiles the things she took for granted back on her homeworld. Of course, she couldn't return now. She couldn't go anywhere, bound to work on the M.S. Elegante until she died and the system released her.
"First Mate, sir?" Her voice cracks, belying her nerves.
God, she hopes she doesn't get sent to the tank again.
