[The cursed man made his way to the party spot with his bandaged hands in his pockets and a smile on his face. This looked like it would be fun.

He had heard of parties like this along with stories about embarassment or horrible singing; but never had the chance to try one out. He knew he was no professional singer, just an avid bookworm who happened to enjoy opera and choir music.]

[Having finished his song (and a few ballads), Lorne had retreated to the bar for a nice cold sea breeze. He's scoping out the boat's occupants, noting how much this bar is starting to look like Caritas. Makes him home sick.

But only for a minute. This guy, walking past, has got the right aura, the type that may only need a push to be urged to sing.

Lorne picks up his back-up untouched sea breeze and heads towards the guy.]

Hey, doll! How're you liking the atmosphere? Care for a drink?

[He offers the tumbler.]

[Well that wasn't a usual thing to be addressed by. Reiner blinked in surprise as Lorne came over.]

Uh...

[He realized he was staring and scratched the back of his head. There was a small murmur of an apology before replying.]

Yeah, sure. That would be nice.

[Lorne smiles kindly and holds the sea breeze towards the man.]

It's kinda got a fruity taste, I don't know if you'll like it or not, considering I don't know you, but it's what was on hand, right?

I'm Lorne. The host. What's your name, pal?

[He takes the glass with a thanks before taking a sip. It was interesting to say, at least.]

Its alright. I'm Reiner Vaughn Keifer, its nice to meet you Lorne.

Reiner. It's good to meet you, buddy!

So, I gotta ask, because it's only one of my favorite things ever; do you plan on singing tonight?

Well, Rfena asked me the same thing earlier and I did say yes. I'm just not sure what song to sing.

Well, lets see. Maybe I can help. I'm pretty sure this machine's got every song I've ever heard of and then some, so you should be pretty set on options.

[He pauses to think, sipping from his drink.]

Well, what's your style, first off?

[He took a moment to think.]

Style? You mean like blues or old rock?

Yeah, like that. For example, I like the big band stuff. Tony Bennet, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin. Get the idea?

[He gave another nod. He thought he saw a song he'd like to try but wasn't too sure about.]

What about this one, Ebony & Ivory?

[Lorne laughs. It isn't a demeaning one, more of an amused and excited laugh.]

Great! Yeah, go for it! I gotta say, green is a color I really enjoy more, but whatever floats your cruiseliner, right? Sounds good to me.

[There's another nod before glancing to the stage.]

I guess I should break the ice, huh?

[Lorne grins wide. Finally! A taker.]
