She eyed the hand and stared. She couldn't say she was that keen on the gesture, but what the hell. She'd give in if for the sake of the situation. Ashelin shook his hand firmly, no pleasantries really involved and arched an eyebrow.

"Are you always going to talk like that?" Because that was annoying. It was agitating. It was frustrating. Of course, everything was frustrating her. Everything. Maybe it was just a little unfair to blame him for it.

"Yes, well. Don't expect too much. I've never raced before, so whatever you think you know of me won't hold up to reality." Never mind that their realities were different.

"Ahh, it's all for show, the image, bigger powers that be. It's what I've got."

He shrugged and waved a hand. Very, very different realities.

"I figured that might be the case, but I don't mind. Zoomers good for you? Not my vehicle of choice, but I thought it'd what you're used to."

Oh, yes, he does, Ashelin. You simply don't know it yet.

She nodded to him once, "Zoomers are fine. If I'm going to race on something, I might as well race on something I'm familiar with. Zoomers are just fine with me."

He smiles and it's almost, almost sincere.

"Want to pick the difficulty level? I'm good with anything, so long as it's going fast."
