Jak heard the commotion before he even rounded the final stairwell to deck eight. Curiosity got the better of him, even after his wonderful judgment calls had landed him a severe beating recently. Nudging open the door he saw --
Blood. Lots of blood.
Bursting out into the hallway, he clenched his fists. More pirates? Did the crew finally snap and start killing everyone?
