Jak was training. Well, sort of.
He liked to meditate in the forest, to at least make an attempt at following Samos' advice regarding eco control and maintain the delicate balance between the Light and Dark energies swirling around inside him.
But recent weeks had seen his father and his mentor both snatched from him. They'd just vanished without a trace, without any leads. The crew wouldn't give him answers -- not that he expected anything close to useful from them -- and the Captain just dragged everyone around like puppets on a string. The anger and resentment built up, it churned inside him painfully, fed the Dark Eco and twisted his thoughts.
Sitting cross-legged beside the stream, his brow creased, arms tensed, he pulled his mind back in and tried once more to calm himself.
