He was walking between shelves and shelves of metal canisters. All of them had names and bodyparts on them and Kage trailed his fingers over the smooth surfaces. This one contained the right hand and right eyeball of someone who'd been named 'Thurty Kell', that one had the esophagus and both ears of someone named 'Patricia Greenclover'. There were hundreds of bodies all disorganized here, but held in a cold order.
Kage was looking for a canister labelled Pantaleon G. Whiskers, even though he didn't really want to find it, because somehow thinking that Redd had killed his friend was easier than thinking of where Pan might have gone off the ship.
He shifted a canister to the side but he couldn't read the writing. There were many such jars in the room.
There was a jar labelled 'You Don't Know What You're Looking For' and Kage exhaled, looking at the ceiling.
"As you say, sir."
