Who: Tanvir Harris (tanvirus) and Bennett Marrow (folkloristlore)
When: Sometime yesterday, I'm assuming. 8|
Where: Deck 7
Rating: PG-13 at least.

If Kimiko was going to ask him to bring lunch to her room every day, the least she could do was be there. Bennett had attempted to bring her lunch, only to find the room empty. Its occupant was dead, but he wasn't aware of that, not at the time. That was okay.

In the end, it was worth the effort; he did get a sandwich out of it. He didn't have to rely on someone else's pity to get food, and that was... just ever-so-slightly empowering. Having some kind of task to accomplish (whether it got accomplished or not) gave him something to do other than read and let his mind wander away from the texts. As much as he wished to lose himself in words and distant worlds, it was so much harder here than it was at home.

After all, it is very easy to tune out the ordinary, but the extraordinary is going to demand your attention.

Bennett's habit of walking and thinking too much at the same time betrays him again-- not looking where he's going, he walks right into someone else in the hallway.

"C-crap, crap, I'm-- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

tanvir, bennett
