Erik had realized he hadn't been paying attention to Anna, not like he had before Christine's arrival. But he had good reason. Christine needed him. And as much as he had come to adore Anna, Christine would always be Erik's weakness. Still, that did not mean his other pupil would be allowed a free pass. Not at all. It had been far too long since their last training session. Anna had made wonderful progress during their time together and Erik would hate to see her talent squandered simply because Christine had arrived.
So when he heard she would be in the library today, Erik decided to take the liberty to follow her there. He kept her in his sights, even after she had entered the library. Though instead of giving himself away as he normally would, Erik finally shifted his attention to the library's piano.
The melody he played was soft, something he had been composing prior to meeting Christine again. He had finally finished it and had decided to see how it would sound on a real piano. Should Anna hear him? Well that would be just two birds taken from the sky with one stone.
