Pit, meanwhile, had decided to check out Sergei's due partly to curiosity and partly to wanting to make friends or something.

Of course, the first person he found was Jinx.

The angel made his way over to him, a happy (and somehow derpy) grin on his face.

Jinx paid no attention to Pit at all, still keeping his eyes on that communicator and his hand on his drink.

He had a neutral face on and his head rested in his left palm.

"Hi, I'm Pit." He sat down next to Jinx, still smiling despite the fact that his wings were still healing from that one-sided fight with Ridley and that they still hurt him a bit, even now.

Jinx looked down to the voice. What in Mar's name was that thing? It had wings and a robe. Seriously, what the hell?

"Hey."

Jinx twisted the bottle of what he thought was whiskey between his fingers before taking another drink.

"So, what are you doing here?" he asked, curious as to why Jinx was drinking something that had the alcoholic properties of wine.

"Drinkin' an' readin'."

Jinx looked back to his communicator.

"What th' hell are ya'?"

Jinx had seen some pretty freaky crap on this boat, but Pit really takes the cake.

"I don't think looking at your communicator counts as reading," Pit noted, then smiled.

"I'm an angel!"

"It's got words, doesn't it?"

"Well, yes, but...well..."

Pit had to admit, Jinx had a point.

"So. Whaddar ya' up ta'?"

Jink takes yet another drink.

"I was just curious. I wanted to explore my surroundings."

"Cool."

Jinx uses that bottle to gesture to a seat next to him. He might as well be a little nice to the kid.

"Wanna drink?"

"Thank you."

He sat down. Then a question slipped out of his mouth before he could stop it.

"How are you?"

"Drunk an' recoverin'. What 'bout ya'?"
