Well. That could have gone better, Barricade thought. My own slaggin' fault, too. Had something I just had to prove, didn't I?
Was it worth it, Barricade? You find out enough about this

He wasn't one to listen to anyone's advice without giving it a lot of thought anyway.
Marco's reply came as he headed to the gym. "Barricade, right? I'll be right there."
He shows up outside the gym a few minutes later, sighing slightly. Marco'd seen a lot of the gym lately.

Well, time to get the preliminaries out of the way.
"You some sort of vampire, too?"
He needed to know what else he was up against. Besides Autobot propaganda.
Reply
He gives Barricade a wave as he approaches and shakes his head at the question. "Just a normal human."
Well, not-so-normal at the moment...but he wasn't one to volunteer that information.
Reply
But he wasn't about to let Marco know that...yet. If Marco thought there was some value in being underestimated, so did Barricade.
He shrugged. "Just a normal Decepticon," he said, blandly. "You know where we're going?"
Reply
Though Marco did find being underestimated rather useful at times.
"I'm afraid I don't know much about Cybertronians." He shrugs, then shakes his head. "No. Godric just told me you or he would call on me. Wherever Rachet is...we can always call for him if you don't know where to meet him."
Reply
That was so not Barricade fishing for information. Except, of course, that it was.
Barricade rocked on his footplates. Have Marco contact Ratchet, or himself. One way, he looked pathetic and needy in front of Ratchet while the human looked on. And possibly got rejected. The other way....
"Maybe you'd better contact him. You look...tactful."
Reply
"Hopefully Godric's mentioned it to him already, but alright." Marco shrugs and fishes his comm out again. He sends out a quick message, filtered to Ratchet, asking if he's available to speak with about possibly repairing 'someone.'
Reply
And they blame us for the war, he thought. And its continuation. Pitifully naive.
He stood, feeling more than a little stupid, as Marco made the comm. Like he was too incompetent to do it himself. Or afraid. He wasn't afraid. It was just...strategy.
Nonetheless, he winced, trying NOT to imagine Ratchet's response. Anywhere from gloating to flat denial. What would happen if Ratchet refused? Worse, what if he agreed?
