[The ship is quiet. Unnervingly so.
Far apart, two groups gather for their trecherous expedition according to Meth's orders, weapons ready and minds steeled for the dangers ahead of them.
Let's hope someone remembered to bring the body bags this time!]

Nel's entry is quiet but for the faint rasp of leather, thanks to her armor. She has no protests to the change in plan, even if her self-appointed guard has been assigned to a separate group, especially as the crewmembers are probably the ones who have the best idea of what's waiting for them. She won't frown at the added firepower, either.
She stops at the fringe of the gathering and adopts a veil of blase patience.]

He meets Meth at the carousel, stands beside the next horse in the line. It reacts about as well as expected, getting louder and more frantic, twitching and tugging and pulling away. Vincent's already neutral expression flattens.]

The horses are a different animal altogether.
Literally. Their limbs look gangly, underfed and less powerful than the versatile lums she's used to. Nel gives the closest horse a wary once-over but slowly makes her way to its side, making sure that it can see her at all times.]
Can do. Any tempers we should know about?

[Regardless, Mordecai mutters a reply and approaches a horse, setting his gun aside to reach a hand to run a hand down the side of the beasts neck. He's tense, edgy. The man forces a calm.]
