This is a short story I wrote for Shell. There isn't any real reason for it (and it's actually not THAT good) but I promised it MONTHS ago, so here it is. Um... I guess anyone can read it if they want, but don't feel obligated. heh.

P.S. From now on, any parts that are in italics are a characters thoughts. Just so you know...

heh. Thanks...
It's really crap though.

That's what happens when you get tired of a story before you've even begun.

It's not crappy at all. Your brisk writing style makes the fast-paced story flow easily and the details you bring forth embellish the story. I'm taking a Creative Writing class right now just for the hell of it, but it's actually starting to grow on me. Especially since I've never in my life wrote anything of my own before (not even fan fiction!) so I felt rather uncomfortable at first. But isn't it amazing to discover that you have your own writing style? It's crazy when I compare some of my work with others. Some are soooo detailed in their work, I almost feel like I'm there and others just give you that "hint" and mystery that it's probably more powerful than those that give "too much" detail. Yeah, I'm ranting, lol! I have a story due tomorrow (or today). Supposedly our first major work and I'm still on the first page and nowhere done. Blah!

Oh, I know what you MEAN.
There are so many different styles that I enjoy reading.
That's why I have a hard time myself sometimes.
Like, if I read something and I like the style, I try to incorporate it into my own writing.

That's why I don't have any 2 stories that sound or read the same.
^ ^;;
I think I'm still trying to find my own personal style, though this one seems to be on the right track, I think... Now I just have to find some more interesting subject matter to try it out on.

Anyway, when you finish your story you should totally post it. I'd love to read it.
