Wassail
1 orange studded with cloves
6 small apples cored and filled with brown sugar and cinnamon
Bake for 1 hour at 350 F
In slow cooker por 5 pint apple cider, 1 pint orange juice, 3 cinnamon sticks, 5 slices fresh peeled ginger and 1 pint brandy...simmer...DO NOT BOIL
When orange and apples are done add them to the slow cooker and add 1/2 cup brown sugar ( make sure you get the caramelized sugars from the baked fruit into the pot as well )
continue to warm for 3 hours...
remove the orange, the cinnamon and ginger at this time else the spices will become overwelming...
