Got Rubber?

I guess i still live in the Pri 1 era where i go around and ask for rubber.
As adults the first thought of rubber would be for ******* (censored). But as children, their first thought would be “Eraser”.
I remember vividly when i was small, i was educated on “To erase pencil marks u need to use rubber” and “To erase pen ink u need to use eraser”. Nonetheless, we all know that it’s wrong, should be eraser and ink eraser for each of them.
So when i go over to my colleague’s table, my first thought would be, can borrow rubber?
