I feel an insane need to update, and not just because the contents of a double affogato and a croissant are coursing throughmy food-starved bloodstream. I'm sitting at the LGBT Resource Center on campus, as they have free computers to use, and my computer, horror of all horrors, is in for repair for a damaged monitor backlight

I wish that more "Christians" here were like you. Many of the Southern Baptist Fundamentalist Christian types here seem to add more suffering to the world (in terms of their judgments, behaviors, intolerance, &c) than they remove. It becomes hard to separate a collapsing of respect for them and a collapsing respect for the Christian doctrine. You remind me that the two are not the same.

It's always good to read the writing of someone who has something to say. I guess we all do, but you know ... some of us tend to have "weightier" words. Keep writing; your words have weight.
