(no subject)
Last weekend, this is what I did with a group of furs:
I went out to a place called Ship Island, which is a barrier island about 12 miles from the Mississippi shore. It sure was nice to get away from civilization, cell phone coverage was nil so it forced everyone to disconnect for a while.
Although I didn't go far into the water, it was cool seeing some aquatic life both on the shore and out into the water. Lots of crabs, and the occasional Dolphin will pop up out of the water (no sharks, luckily) Someone found a small jellyfish, something that would fit in your hand. It was the kind that didn't sting ya, unless if you stuck your finger in its mouth :-P I was still too chicken to touch it!
After the Island visit, some of us retreated to my place to wash off. I had like 14 furries in my place, and I thought that it was impossible to fit 5 people in here XD After destroying using my bathroom, we all went to the local bowling alley. Luckily we arrived in time for moonlight..so the light colored fursuiters glowed an awesome purple (like me)
It sure was nice seeing furs come together to do things together again. Reminds me of the LAFF days..although we didn't have the luxury of being stuck on an island. A good amount of the furs came from Louisiana, and the rest were from MS..so there's furs in the South but everyone's so spread out. Thanks to everyone who attended the meet, and to Starpup for organizing the whole thing ^-^
This is the reason why I've been offline most of the time:
I'm mostly done with the body for my new fursuit. Not a lot of color on the front (I might add a little more "jazziness" to it) but on the back I added in some touches of color :-)
Next step in the project is body padding! I'm trying to keep a cartoony look with the critter, so poofing it up in certain areas should help with the overall look. Sometimes it's good to be bigger ;-)
