so, i could be working with you in the future.

this summer i may be working at king richard's with the gargoyles, as a medieval princess statue of some sort. which i find somewhat amusing because i've never even been to the faire before.

You could indeed!

That sounds fabulous, the faire is a lot of fun. It's pretty expensive so a lot of people have complaints, but if you get in for free it's pretty rockin.

On a related note, Katherine tells me you're thinking of approaching Newport to allow busking? I'd love to team up with you on this, Newport is my home area and it would benefit so much from buskers if it only tried. Perhaps if we attack in numbers? Since I'm an Island resident I might have a good chance of being heard at a town meeting or something of the like. I don't know.

I'll message you my screenname, we can talk further. :)

The only reason why it's so goddamned astounding to be good for your word these days is because far too many people are either too lazy and/or self-absorbed to do anything for other people regardless of simplicity, or they're just too chicken-shit to decline whether they have a fair reason to or not. I guess such is to be expected from the same kind of people who look for the easy out when they're torn between being honest and trying not to hurt one's feelings.

Troubling it is, I must concur. But the way I see it, just being the one person, out of every ten or twenty, that actually keeps your word, is a fine example of how easy it can be to make a difference.

This is Emilio, btw. This is my new LJ. You're welcome to add it if you like. :)

I knew it was you, I saw your note on your old LJ. :)

I have a friend who NEVER says "no" on the first try, always "maybe" and "we'll see". Half the time it's an honest "I want to but I don't know if I can", but the other half it's "I don't really want to but I don't want to be rude so we'll deal with it later". I can't STAND it. It's far less rude to be politely honest, y'know?
