I find this recent hullabaloo about Palin's 17 year old daughter being pregnant deliciously ironic. Republican leaders say this is a private matter for Palin's family. Surely they think private matters like marital fidelity shouldn't be dragged in politics. Oh wait ( Read more... )

yeah....interestingly enough though it doesn't seem to be draining her support from the fundys (fundys = religious fundamentalists who believe SEX IS BAD OMG!!!!!!!!), since she plans on marrying the kid's dad. That was how the article phrased it, that Palin's daughter planned on marrying the baby's father...which makes me wonder if whoever-he-is knows about it. Oh well, I'm sure Palin could just fire any government employees he's related to.

Here's the question that I'D like to see asked at a debate, but of course, it never will be. Sarah Palin has supported abstinence-only education in public high schools and has opposed "explicit" sex-ed programs. In light of her teenage daughter's pregnancy, has she even considered shifting her views on the value of sex-ed programs in public schools?
