a semi-narrative this time, as i am caffeinated and twitchy and find much satisfaction in the sound of typing right now.
new agenda: not sitting on my ass watching law & order reruns for hours upon hours each night.
last week work monopolized me with late night events wednesday and thursday, i wasnt home until after midnight both nights, had to miss both wednesday social ritual blackout bar and the highlight of my week -- writing workshop, instead flit around trying to get drunk sluts and fratboys to place personal ads in my newspaper while dressed in lingerie. i only wish it were a joke. all under the good name of "promotions" at this year's Providence and Boston FNX Lingerie Balls. I expensed my train fare and drinks, couldn't add dinner becuase I paid in cash and didn't have a receipt. hurray for objectification. many older "gentleman" who thought they were hugh hefner in their silk pajamas attempted to hit on me.
friday i slept in (it was divine) and shopped all day with katie for the finishing touches on our halloween costumes -- oooh on the tlc tip-era tlc. i was chili. kt was left-eye and jeneane portrayed t-boz. attended greg and andrew's party in brighton and danced all night long. highlights included rondell and thom.com both in drag, justine coming out, and my little trio looking like total goofballs in baggy cross-colors inspired clothing. lowlights included allie falling asleep at her boyfriends house and ditching out. ashley deciding to stay in. jay getting egged.
i didnt leave my house the entire weekend after returning home with thom and justine at 9am on sat morning from the party, after falling asleep at kt's for a bit.
sunday justine, allie and i went to target (shouldnt there be a descending light from heaven here, some angels singing in a choir?) and bought practically the entire store. spent the whole day cleaning and had our fabulous neighbors over for dinner.
saw junior senior at the middle east with thom on monday. i danced and had a blast. previously, i couldnt recall the last time i enjoyed a live show this much...
last night i FINALLY saw lost in translation and i absolutely adored it.
made plans to visit nyc this weekend to see adam, caroline, and an old crush i dug up thanks to friendster. we'll see what happens. anyone wanna take the chinatown with me?
ashley, melanie -- where are you????????????????
