Snakes On A Journal
ATTENTION! ATTENTION!: THIS IS A JOKE. I REPEAT THIS COMMENTARY IS MEANT TO BE SATIRICAL. KEEP YOUR PANTIES IN THEIR FULL AND UP-YOUR-ASS POSITIONs.
So, I'm sure that you or somebody that you know has done one of those, "If you wanna know anything about me, now is the time to ask. I will answer any question that you have." posts.
But did you ever notice that there are never any comments to this topic? Nobody ever asks anything because that would require a little effort and an actual interest in one another. For the most part if you don't have a witty and short update that can be commented on in a witty and short manner or a pwetty pic-tur to look @ nobody really gives a shit.
We come, we look, we comment, "That sux. *hugs*", we turn off the computer and go about our own lives. End of story. Nobody even remembers enough about one another to even begin to think about what it is we may not know! And frankly I don't blame us. Who the fuck really cares to know all that much about the "friends" on their lists? You cannot claim to be a deep caring person (when it comes to your Friends List) when you have 250 "friends" listed. I mean, seriously, are those people important parts of your life or are they a collection of people; a random selection of insecurities covered by a boastful amount of overcompensation.
The, "If you wanna know..." posts are two fold; they are both, A. Narcissistic and self-centered and B. Pathetically hopeful and desperate.
A. Narcissistic and self-centered: If you have something to say about a topic we are here to listen. We may read up on the topic, we may ever respond to your ideas on the topic, but to assume that we care enough about what you think of something outside of our little box is...self-centered! We post topics of our interest and allow you to comment about the things we know, like and care about. That is your opportunity. Don't give us homework and make us think about what you care about!
B. Pathetically hopeful and desperate: With this type of post you are assuming that we pay attention. That we actually remember what you've said once it's moved off of our friends page screen or that we actually go back and read anything you've posted before we added you as a "friend". It's also a desperate move for approval and just a sad cry for attention. No, we are not going to take a second away from updating our own journals, often filled with the excitement of our banal daily living, to focus on you. We comment when you post what more do you want?
Anyway, I have digressed this entire update. What I was meaning to post about was a different topic all together; Myself. I don't wanna know what you don't know about me. I wanna know what you like best about me. Then I'll compile that into a list and post it right back for you all to read again. It will however be in order of the comments I liked the best to the comments I liked the least and not include, at all, the comments I disliked in every way. So there it is kids. Now think hard and think often as long as it's about me.
