Apparently, he tried to bargain with some lady for a pair of boots. Weird stuff about paying prices, somethin' called Draupnir, a tree. And I could be wrong, but I think he killed someone to get this Draupnir thing. Killed, maimed, I think he did something to this guy, cuz he ain't using Draupnir anymore. These boots must've been somethign special, because he tried mana crystals at first. Lady wouldn't take it, though. Wasn't a 'fair price' or some shit.

No, the tree and this Draupnir thing are different, I think. Hell if I know, all I got out of this was that he is one fucked up sonuvabitch.

I don't doubt it. If what the Convoy says is right, he's in deep with some real sick customers.

[sighs, and mutters something to himself] Did he actually get ahold of the boots, or did the lady drive too hard a bargain?

Sounds like he did. No clue what they do, though, except that they're really fucking important.

Do me a favor, will ya? When Low Key's sleeping, I want you to grab the boots and take 'em over to my cabin. I don't feel comfortable with him having them til we figure out what they are.

....You realize you're going to get every pair of boots he owns, right? I have no idea what this special ones look like.

He can't have that many, right? Not like he has an extensive wardrobe.
