It was the end of another dead-end night and Joey had tossed his hat on the coat rack and put his heels up to rest. Smoke in one hand, Joey thumbed through his index cards, stopping when he reached a certain evening business. A smirk curled his lips and he brought the phone to his ear.
“Hello, Joe Holmberg. I’m interested in, ah, meeting one of your boys…if you get my drift.”
