"throwing copper": an album to remember
i recently came to two shocking conclusions, which jana and i discussed in detail last night. because we'll be living in the same suite sophomore year, we will no longer be able to:
a] shower at the same time. we're STs [shower twins, clearly.] HOW ARE WE TO SHOWER SIMULTANEOUSLY IF THERE IS BUT ONE SHOWER IN THE SUITE? this is very disconcerting.
b] chat on aim. now, to the average person, this may not seem like a big deal. but i don't know if the rest of you realize just how much jana and i talk via aim. or how not average [read: normal] we are. we've had some big revelations by way of aim. i.e. the list of peevey phrases. yep, we conceived that baby through instant messages. that thing is sheer brilliance, is it not? how are we to brew up these strokes of genius without the involvement of AIM, an essential tool? i'm pretty distraught.
on another note. CLASSES ARE OFFICIALLY OVER. yeehaw! not that i don't have an overwhelming amount of shit to turn in/study for before may 11 arrives. but. still. i'll never have to sit in a class again as a freshman. which is pretty schweet.
oh, and also. tonight is W.I.L.D. can i get some love for live?
i certainly rocked out to this album - via cassette tape, nonetheless, since i didn't even own a cd player back in 1994. this fact alone should be an indication to wash u that they chose a pretty dated band for W.I.L.D. this spring. the only song anyone seems to recall by live - "lightning crashes" - was released 10 years ago [there are some other sweet songs on that album though! "i alone"? "all over you"? don't you cats remeber?!]. i'm not sure what they've done since. ah well, should be an interesting contrast to fall W.I.L.D.'s act of busta rhymes. meh, the masses probably won't even realize what band is performing due to their level of inebriation.
i hope the early 90's music tonight puts kids in the mood to use early 90's slang...NOT!!!!*
[note: i sincerely do hope i hear some slang, hence my "nostalgic" mood, i just wanted to give an example of what this slang may be. "PSYCH!!!" inserted at the end of that statement would have been an appropriate example as well.]
