a disappointment, to say the least.

in the last class ever of critical frameworks today, polly asked, "whatever happened to dork journal?" and i really think it's a question we should all ask ourselves. what did happen to livejournal? back in the day, not more than a mere nine months ago, we were all diligent dork journal workerbees. everytime i logged on to eljay.com i would find, to my delight, a charming little anecdote or an account of a simply hilarious event or a heartwrenching tale of emotion. and now i get excited when i see the occasional "who wants to bone me?!" or "what are my boobies' names?" quiz posted on my friends page. clearly, we've all lowered our standards. what we need is to come together and really question the situation at hand. this is serious. like, right now i could be studying for a final or writing a paper, but i'm taking one for the team and updating my livejournal. and frankly, i'd like to see some of you do the same.
