and this is the time where i ramble on about knitting
i'm in the process currently of knitting about 12 things - or at least it seems like it. making awesome gloves (button gloves from not just more socks) is my current car task, the one that goes the quickest since that's where i have most of my time to knit. i've never done gloves before - they're another step forward in my 'try to knit something/in some way that you haven't before' personal challenge that i give myself with new projects.
it's nice too to have a break from knitting baby stuff - i love doing it, but it's almost all i've done for the past year, between other people's babies and my own impending arrival. i've got a hat that's finished blocking and should be dry, and is ready to go into the diaper bag for on the way home wear (ha, this baby better be a boy or like blue, that's all i'm saying ;P). the blanket i made needs a back still, which i have, but i don't have the cord for the border. i need to go to joann's at some point this weekend and get that, plus some other yarn for another project i'm woefully behind on (but should be able to get out quick quick is my hope, pinkribbonwench).
i like having something to do in the car, and waiting at dr's appointments (which are about to go to 1/week) - i could read, but for all the reading i did in my youth, and for as much as i love it, i don't seem to have the patience for it these days. who knows.
anyways. that's more about me and knitting than anyone really ever needed to know. but getting it out is better than sitting at work and wanting to go to the car and knit rather than be here :P
