i've become utterly addicted to
ravelry (which is like a master project/stash/queue/progress organizer for knitters and crochet-ers), and it's really motivated me to get my knitting stuff in order, finish or frog stagnant projects and get my butt moving on all the stuff i want to do. if you've got an account, feel free to friend me - the name there is electricsoup too :)
my knitting has been in complete disarray (along with the rest of my craft area) since before D*C, and it's been rather difficult to get anything done with it in that state.
today I've actually been into getting things done, so i've been cleaning my area downstairs starting at my desk, and working around towards the knit/sewing stuff. i'm trying to liberally throw things away, although really - i am a packrat extraordinaire. it'll get there. it's also easier because chris is down here today - i like to migrate where he is, so it's been nice to be down here and not be all by myself!
he's down here because he borrowed an hd projector from someone at work, to see if he wants one (at least that's how he sold it to me ;P) - i think he's decided yes, since it's already installed perminantly in my celing, with a new outlet and all. perhaps this is the motivation we need to start doing movie nights again too.
finished our registering stuff today, to get it out of the way more than anything else. with thanksgiving (and the 11 people that it will bring to my house for me to feed), my sister giving birth between then and christmas, christmas (and really who knows what the heck we'll be up to then, i can't even think that far ahead), friends visiting (yayayay!) and new years - it's going to be pretty darn busy between now and jan 1.
