ok, so the flight back wasn't the magical experience of the trip out, but it landed and that's a positive. and it wasn't so bad to re-freak me out about flying again in general, so that's also a positive. the fact that it was like we were driving on a gravel road with lots of pits was not positive, but what does one do, flying in the summer over both desert air and storms? at least we got in early. :)
the wedding was beautiful and awesome, and i've got lots to talk about trip wise, but i want to wait until i have the supporting pictures downloaded and such. lots were taken, but lucky none when we were really out and drinking. speaking of which, i may still be intoxicated. :P
i'm still not quite sure i've fully digested the trip yet, but i do know two things: 1) i really am lucky to be a part of the best group friends a girl could want. 2) vegas is all at once all that is right and wrong with the world. :P
as a side note, and perhaps it's because i'm reading all of the 'afterwards' stuff with these lj deletions - the way i look at it is that lj made a mistake. one based off of what i view as a VERY good intention. it's not censorship even to delete these journals - we have no rights to say whatever we want to say on a service that is provided to us. there are rules and guidelines, and them deleting journals far from removes the right of those people to speak. annoying, yes. troublesome? especially pre-apology. but that they're going to put things right says to me that they were doing what they thought was best at the time, and changed course when they realized they were making a mistake that did not involve the root cause of what they were going after.
