some new song has that line in it, and i cannot get it out of my head. help. :P
this week was exausting. pmp prep course for my professional certification test. it's exciting to have a chance to take it, and i'm really lucky to have job where i can. but the training is like boot camp - alllll this information crammed down your head. i did pretty well on my practice exams though, and we've got a schedule for our self-study to go off of - i'm confidant i'll pass. just lots of study time ahead of me.
commuting into the city sucked lots of ass though. living in the mountains, while beautiful, makes for a long drive into arlington (not even REALLY the city!) over an hour to go 36 miles. usually an hour and a half, sometimes more. which meant leaving the house before the sun went up. owie. gave me time to listen to my latest cd purchases though ad nauseam - broken boy soldiers from my secret boyfriend jack white and those other guys (yes he's an ass, but i think he's a beautiful one for some reason :P) - i really liked this cd, even though almost every song reminded me of another one i'd heard by someone else before. i got a who cd, which was great, and the the lostprophets one, which was sort of meh.
cut patterns and mock up peices for my halloween costume earlier this week too. the inside of the bodice is set, i just need to do the outside since it's all funky. i am wrastling with if i'm going to mock up the skirt - its a skirt. classic last words though before frustration entails. i don't have a lot of time though, so i may just say f it. in fact, i think i will. the bodice is the only real change - luckily the pattern's skirt is the same style, i just need to do the ruffle a bit longer. the trim i ordered came in too, and it's really nifty. the only things that are still outstanding are shoes and stockings (which i've found and are about to order). i may be ambitious too and do the windmills now. who knows. :P
tomorrow we're trooping at the crofton library in md with the old line garrison and some of the rebel legion folks. should prove fun. :) we don't have to be there till like 10ish, so that's not so bad. any earlier though and i would have bailed, after this early wake up week.
the rest of my exciting evening i believe will entail double checking my armor case that all is in there and in working order, charging up the camera and then working on costume stuff for halloweenie. after the hectic past few weeks, this is just the type of friday i need! :)
