Got home from work to find a note from my dad saying that my mother had hurt her wrist playing tennis and was in the ER at Mount Sinai. (I work across the street from Mount Sinai, but in the way of these things, nobody called me... oh well ( Read more... )

I'm glad she's not terribly hurt, but an injured parent is a very scary thing. You're the second person I've seen whose family failed to notify them during an emergency. *sends positive thoughts your way (and your mother's)*

That sucks... I would say that I'm terribly sorry to hear that but somebody beat me to those lines so I get stuck with the above. That being said, your Mamma is good people!

Bad stuff should not be allowed to happened to good people.

Indeed, no, it should not!

She does seem to be coping quite nicely, but has a tendency to say things like "When I carry heavy things with this hand, it hurts. So I stopped." *eyeroll*

she sounds a bit like my mother who once fell through the trapdoor from the hayloft in the barn and neglected to tell me. ;)
