Project Runway blargh blargh blargh.
I like watching this show (and the crap festival that is Shear Genius) because clothing is the one area of creativity that I just... I don't know. I can paint, draw, sculpt, play music, sing, write, whatevs, I can make something new and fresh or whatever in those areas, no problem-o.
But clothes. I dunno. I could, say 'hey, that'd be neat-o burrito with a tie here or a twist there!' and maybe pick out cool fabric for something, but the idea of creating something new, like imagining The Dress of The Jacket or what have you... I just can't do it. I'd make a T-Shirt, like, every time. With a sweet print or some crap. Or something from a steam-punk novel. Either way, it... it wouldn't be what we call 'nice' in polite society. Or tolerable. So I think it's cool to see what people come up with. (I won't even go into hair. All of my children will have bowl cuts. Including the girls.)
Here's my impression of the people-creatures:
Keith - Just kinda... bores me. He's gangsta from the neck-down and basement-dweller from the neck up.
Jennifer - Girl that was never asked to dance in school. Sweet, but bland. Clothes are cute and pretty but eh.
Joe - Basement dwelling whiner. You're greasy, get over yourself.
Suede - "Wack-a-Doodle" Amusing but kind of worthless designer, IMO. The third person thing is... weird.
Jerell - Annoying. Good tailor, inventive. Loved his outfit for the Olympics Challenge, but wtf? I would expect an umbrella to twirl or a picnic basket with it. Not so much on the International Sporting Event thing.
Stella - "Leatha" I like her because she's ridiculous, and seems genuinely nice if nothing else.
Terri - Holy crap, she made an entire freaking wardrobe. To me, not astoundingly new and fresh, but a damn good designer.
Kelli - Neat, creative, a very good designer.
Leanne - I confuse her with Jennifer. Enough said.
Daniel - Eh, talented but annoying. His dress was blue, you dicks. Seriously, the whole color argument pissed me off - the outfit wasn't appropriate for the challenge, say so, don't bitch about how 'blue' the blue was. Like arguing with your mother, I swear...
Kenly - Crazy talented. She looks like a Vargas girl, it's ridiculous. I love that, while I personally wouldn't want to wear all her outfits, they're all completely original and well-made.
Korto- Very skilled, very creative. Her fruit n veggie broach on the first challenge? OMG cool. Plus, I totally have a girl-crush on her (she's so ..feminine. I don't know!) And I loved the "I live in 08. it's 08" because there is a crap ton of "Lol 40's!" going on.
Blayne - His brain was destroyed by UV rays. He's completely retarded, and somewhat disturbingly odd, but he's pretty damn funny sometimes: I'm an Olympic Athlete in tanning! But it only goes up to the Bronze medal. Peed my pants.
