Summary: A demon touched Yixing's wings.
The angel was helplessly stunned as he eyed the demon landing on the moonlight bathed ground and folding his black wings neatly. Their eyes met and the demon, a little shocked and amused by the expression Lay wore, shot the angel a charming smile. Lay’s heart twitched oddly and he flinched, unable to return the smile the demon gave him. The sudden foreign emotion tugging at his heart caused his flight to stop almost abruptly. Poor angel shrieked as his body made a painful contact with the hard ground and little rocks.
He mentally cursed his bad luck, because his wings wouldn’t listen to his commands, his mind wouldn’t function properly and his legs were utterly paralyzed. The perfect way to look stupid, he hissed inwardly.
Suho, the demon, rushed over to Lay’s side almost immediately, one hand firmly placed on Lay’s shoulder, looking genuinely concerned with his eyebrows furrowed deeply and his voice hard as he asked, “Are you alright?”
The voice sounded melodious to Lay. Again, he was hit by the twitching sensation, making him groaned and shivered slightly, although still very much visible to the demon.
“Hey…” The grip on Lay’s shoulder tightened.
“I’m fine,” answered Lay, voice raised up a few octaves higher as if to prove his point, meeting the demon’s disturbed gaze In the process. Wrong move, he thought to himself again.
Suho’s eyes, however, softened a little. “Well, can you stand up?”
Lay shook his head. Suho took a quick glance to Lay’s legs which were sprawled out helplessly, confirming the angel’s statement that he indeed had no control over his immobilized lower limbs. The instant change of expression in Suho’s expression hadn’t gone unnoticed by Lay, but before he could enquire further, Suho’s attention snapped back to Lay, a soft smile across his face.
Suho then leaned forward-startling the angel-and he did something so unworldly that had Lay’s unbeating heart that was already roaring from the close proximity with the demon to slam even more wildly against his ribcage like a trapped, untamed beast.
The demon gently stroked Lay’s pristine white wings and softly whispered to the delicate feathers, “Come on now, beautiful. Make your angel fly again.”
