Bribing yourself at 4AM that if you get certain higher grades on a test you have in a few hours (that you haven't studied for) you will go to Mann Co. and treat yourself to a corresponding hat = probably the sign that you have a problem.
(If I get an A, I'm getting myself the Ten-Gallon AND the Panama. I can tell myself this because I'm not going to get an A.)
