So, I'm married now.

One final serious mishap occurred: our backup minister didn't show up. While waiting for him at the park, Matt realized that the text he thought was from Doug (the original minister) was actually from Dan (the backup minister). It said something like, "I love you and Siobhan immensely. You guys are closer to me than my immediate family. Which is part of why I can't be there today. I'm sitting in the dark. I think y" and it cut off. Nobody's heard from Dan since, so uh, we're a little concerned.

Anyway, Nick, being the only one in a suit, ordained himself via Brittany's iPhone in the parking lot and did a kickass job off-the-cuff. Everyone said it was the best wedding they'd been to because the ceremony and my
preceding freak-out was amusing and it wasn't some stuffy church wedding.

Everything brides say about not sweating the details is true. I mean, if I can lose two ministers in two days in addition to everything else that's happened and still have the best night of my life, anyone can do it. We threw a bitchin' party for the people we love and we're totally fucking married now--that's all that matters in the end.

The honeymoon has thus far been AMAZING. We stayed at the Radisson, which is a Johnson and Wales educational facility. The service was clearly amazing, since the employees are being graded on their performance. We had a beautiful suite with a giant, fluffy king-sized bed and a whirlpool tub. We ordered room service our second night and I ate such an amazing steak that my eyes actually welled with tears from the overwhelming deliciousness. Johnson and Wales students don't fuck around.

And the shopping. Oh, the shopping. We ordered a Netflix box that streams Watch Instantly rentals from the site directly to our TV, an amazing record player that'll let Matt actually record records onto his computer, a 530 watt stereo system, and a new phone for Matt. We bought a shit-load of video games, records and comic books, clothes and household items.

Either tonight or tomorrow, we're getting tattoos, I'm gonna get a fabulous new haircut, and then it's back to work.

A huge thank you to everyone who came and celebrated the most important day of my life with me. I love you guys.
