madame_meretrix's first line meme - i.e., the first line of this is hers. Anybody who's read Tales of the Vampires may recognize the setting of this. Everyone else - well, I hope you enjoy it anyway. I'm in a silly mood.
Yes, Master
Xander opens the wrought-iron gate that leads to his front door. His thirty-foot-high, elaborately carved, ancient oak front door, complete with portcullis. Of course, he has to get past the dogs and the pitfalls, and know the trick of raising the portcullis, before he can get to the front door.
Master is waiting impatiently in the entrance hall. Xander stands quietly through the recriminations.
“I’m sorry, Master. I had to go to many shops to find the ingredients.” He cocks his head. “Have you had your hair cut, Master? It looks nice.”
Dracula smiles. Xander is happy.
