FIC: A Man's A Man For A' That (J2, NC-17)

Written for spn_reversebang, inspired by cybel's lovely artwork Hay There. This is set extremely loosely in the Scottish Highlands and is pretty much entirely indulgent fluff with a whisper of plot and only rare nods to historical accuracy.

I thought for a moment you were going to turn Jared into Flora MacDonald but I like this J2 version better. Hopefully Bonnie Prince Jensen would do better than Charlie did! :D

Bonnie Prince Jensen comes back, wipes the floor with the English and regains the Scottish throne (maybe a little diplomacy helps too). Jared is offered the fief containing Hugh's land, but declines because it would keep him away from Jensen too much of the time - he doesn't want to be another absentee land lord. He becomes one of King Jensen's most trusted advisors. I haven't worked out the problem of the succession, but perhaps you can imagine a three-way (unofficially, at least) marriage between the Js and the queen of your choice. ;)

Donal is offered a new boat but declines; Jensen is able to persuade him to accept a thick warm pair of Aileen's knitted socks.
