It's been a pretty decent week so far.
I bought these yesterday the second they arrived in my store. THIS is how ghetto the company I work for is.
Plus, on our last trip to Norwich, I found a bunch of these and brought
them home with me. I wonder what they go to...probably keys for
something in the power plant. I might have to try them out when
we go back Monday.
80's Night absolutely sucked last night. It was probably the
worst one I've ever been to. Nobody was there, so Jess and I left
early and pigged out with Ben and Michelle at Spike's.
On a sidenote, I saw Reema there. She came up to me, said, "Oh
jeez hey, sorry I never called back...", turned around, and walked away
to talk to Ben. I was like, uh, yeah, whatever, I don't
care. Funny.
I talked to this homeless guy that always hangs around the area, that
I've been talking to for years now. He's making an attempt to
clean himself up and get some work finally. I always enjoy
chatting with him for some reason, and he said he'd missed me because
he hadn't seen me in a few weeks. I wish I had something more
than a few bucks, or a couple cigarettes, to give him, something to
help him out in a substantial way, because he's such a nice guy, and a
Vietnam veteran too.
Today, I went to scout out Rocky Point because Mike and Erin are
driving down from Mass on Friday to meet up with me and check it
out. Christ, I never realized how easy it is to get into,
otherwise I would have gone a loooong time ago. Abandoned
amusement parks are the BEST.
I then went to Newbury Comics and spent eighty bucks on new music, and for once, I made all really good choices. I bought:
- The Bravery - self-titled
- The Paper Chase - God Bless Your Black Heart
- Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
- The Decemberists - Picaresque
- The Shins - Oh, Inverted World
- Reggie and the Full Effect - Songs Not to Get Married To
They're all really, really good. Go buy them, now.
I haven't made it to the Green Room in weeks, I think I might swing by after work tomorrow night....
