There are quite a few days like this in the meme and I decided that I'd use them to mention things I like that aren't brought up elsewhere in the meme. Today I'll be using it to mention my favorite actor - Robert Downey, Jr.
I've been a fan of RDJ for a really long time. I don't remember exactly when it started, but I know I was at least in middle school. He's just one of those actors I love seeing on screen. He's constantly charming and always fun regardless of the quality of the film.
I remember all his legal problems going on when I was younger. I remember seeing the footage from the court room where he talked about feeling like he had a gun in his mouth. I remember thinking after he was fired from Ally McBeal that he was basically done.
I remember being thrilled when the mid-2000s rolled around and he started popping up everywhere. I remember thinking "FUCKING PERFECT" when I heard he was cast as Tony Stark (and explaining to my mom why that was.) I remember both of us being really excited about Iron Man when we saw the trailer. We both knew that this was going to be it and made plans to see it for my birthday.

king out on May 6, 2008 because it was my 24th birthday and the 1 month mark of my mom's passing. I practically begged for us to go out and do something that would take my mind of stuff. We decided to go see Iron Man. I hadn't thought much about the film in a while and was just hoping it would at least be entertaining.
I walked out the theater feeling better than I had in weeks.[/pathetic sob story]
Basically I'm just insanely thrilled to see that this man is still an amazing presence on screen.
It also helps that he's completely fucking adorable.
