you're over the atlantic
Well it's fall break... which means two days with no school or work. I could have worked today and tomorrow, but all the instructors are going to a district meeting today and so I'd just be puttering around in the office doing nothing... plus my throat has been sore for the last couple of days and combined with my running nose and sneezing/coughing and the fact that the weather has been damp and dank for the last month... I'm worried about catching a cold.
Going to OKC on Monday for fall conference. We can't leave until after 3 so it means we won't get to the city until nearly 8. I think we're planning on stopping in Shawnee (Brad Pitt was born there!) and shopping in their mall and grabbing dinner there. I need to dig up an overnight bag before then since my suitcase is kinda huge for a one day trip.
On a different note... I was bored last night and I went through my meme tag to see if I had anything worth redoing and I remembered how active I used to be in fandom and such. It kind of makes me sad to see that I've completely fallen out of it, but then I look at the state of other fandoms I stay on the outskirts of and remember why I fell out in the first place. I really should try to be more active, but it's just so hard to jump into it nowadays it feels like...
